This commercial would have worked better with ANY other brand except Ikea. Simply because Ikea already has the reputation of being cheap! The proposition is therefore discountable (no pun intended).

  1. that’s the whole point…Ikea has the reputation for being cheap….so people think it will be the same prices all year round….they don’t anticipate a sale….THAT’S THE WHOLE POINT OF THE AD?!
